The 2023 SNOWY RIVER SPRINT was held in and around the picturesque town of Lakes Entrance and Buchan, Victoria, the third round on the Australian Tarmac Rally Championship 2023 calendar.
With a total of over 240 competitive kilometres over 18 stages. Stages are short and a tightly packed field ensured a fast paced, full day of rallying.
The water-front town, Lakes Entrance is a very popular all year round holiday destination, including during winter months when the climate is often a few degrees warmer than Melbourne and is situated on the edge of Ninety Mile Beach where the Gippsland Lakes meets the Southern Ocean.
Cross the footbridge to the popular Ninety Mile Beach, patrolled by lifesavers during the summer months, to enjoy the pristine surf beach. Explore the lakes in a kayak, join a boat cruise or if activity isn't your thing, Lakes Entrance is known as the seafood capital, due to the large number of fishing trawlers operating in the area.
It was a massive experience for our brand new team, they all stepped up and really shon through in every way. The competition runs from fastest to slowest, so a lot less overtaking and the roads selected are some of the best roads in the state, not to mention the most picturresque.
The experience of getting to drive your favourite vehicle on some awesome roads, against the clock, is one that won't be easily forgotten by everyone involved.
